Toronto Victorian Home Renovation
A Victorian Toronto home with a leaking, mouldy bathroom rebuilt to period-appropriate detail and worn hardwood replaced throughout.
The problem
An older Victorian home that had been renovated once before and was ready for another update. The bathroom was mouldy, leaking and dated. The home office had stopped working for how the owners used it. The hardwood floors were worn out and had taken years of abuse.
The solution
The bathroom was rebuilt with a new vanity, faucet and bench. All the trim came off and was replaced with period-style trim appropriate to an old Victorian house. New flooring went in to replace the worn hardwood.
A mouldy, leaking bathroom is almost never only a bathroom problem. Water has been going somewhere for a while by the time it shows and finding out where comes before anything gets tiled.
